KE XCC SET Fully electric Tip Changer

Tip changing without compressed air

•    Compact design
•    Powerful tip changing
•    No compressed air required

The XCC automates electrode tip changing in resistance spot welding, combining a particularly compact, lightweight design with a fully electric drive. It requires no compressed air connection and integrates easily into automated welding systems, even where space is limited. This reduces installation and maintenance requirements and provides greater freedom of movement within your welding cell.

More space for your robot movements
Where numerous components work together in confined spaces, every centimetre counts. The XCC’s space-saving design keeps restrictions on the robot arm’s range of motion to a minimum, allowing the welding gun to approach the tip changer easily. Its low weight gives you additional mounting flexibility and simplifies system planning.

Electric drive for simpler installation
The XCC operates entirely without pneumatics. No compressed air lines, connections or pneumatic valves are needed for the tip changer. This saves installation and maintenance work while reducing potential sources of leaks and faults.

Reliable tip removal, gentle on electrode shanks
A specially matched gearbox combines low rotational speed with high torque and supports clockwise and anticlockwise rotation. The rotary motion reliably loosens worn electrode tips and places less strain on the tapered electrode shanks than removal by pulling alone. New tips are then supplied via the magazines and fitted onto the shanks.

Tip supply tailored to your application
The XCC is available for common electrode tip types A to G and tip diameters of 13, 16 and 20 mm. Choose STC stick magazines or XR rotary magazines to adapt the tip supply to your welding system’s requirements.

Fewer spare parts, easy maintenance
The clamping jaws can be used on both sides. When one side is worn, simply turn the jaws over and continue using them. This extends their service life and reduces spare parts requirements. Wear parts can be replaced easily when necessary. A collection container catches the removed electrode tips, keeping them clear of the welding cell’s working area.
