KYOKUTOH History Milestones

KYOKUTOH was founded in 1953 in Japan and within a few years was able to develop into a globally active family business. Even in the early years of the company, innovative solutions for the automation of welding processes were at the forefront of the company's activities. Over the decades, the Japanese company has always reacted to the changes in the automotive industry with increasing automation technology and adapted its product range for automated welding applications to meet the requirements. Today, KYOKUTOH is one of the world's market leaders for highly efficient, automatic electrode tip dressers and tip changers.

KYOKUTOH has locations in the major automotive regions of Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and North America. The headquarters of KYOKUTOH Europe GmbH with responsibility for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) economic region was opened in Munich/Germany in 2011 and has been steadily expanded over the years. In November 2022, the headquarters were relocated to Unna near Dortmund in order to combine it with the technical and logistics center there. Our sales partners in various countries also offer our customers excellent service and support on site.
